Milan Cathedral,
Italy
|
|
| The
duomo in Milan is a huge Gothic edifice that towers over the
tourists in the piazza duomo trying desperately to get the
whole cathedral and their wife's head in one photo. It was
begun in 1386 and only entirely finished in 1965. The facade
is not the oldest part - this was completed by Napoleon in
1805. The newly renovated Candoglia marble produces a wonderful
hue in the Italian sun. |
